About me

I am a driven and passionate professional with academic experience in MA Film Studies and a Btech in Film and Broadcast Production.

As a naturally inquisitive people person, I relish collaboration and am confident in generating and consolidating ideas effectively. I have followed my passions and sought out opportunities to develop new skills and challenge myself. A skilled writer, I can research a range of subjects, condense and write information clearly to brief.

I want to make documentaries that illuminate, inspire and confront. Documentary possesses the capacity to be intimate, compelling and provocative. My ambition is seek out untold stories and create compelling and thought-provoking documentaries.

Experience

👩‍💻 MA Film Studies: wrote the treatment and first 30 pages of an original screenplay to professional standard on Final Draft. Collaborated with a team to write the beats for an original TV pilot episode, and presented to course-mates.

🐝 As part of Broadcast and Film Production course at Factory International Manchester, I worked across several teams to develop documentary concepts centred on socially-conscious themes such as the environment, mental health and social media. Created storyboards, edited and made taster tapes using StudioBinder, Canva and Davinci Resolve.

🎥 At Factory, I pitched my original documentary ‘Navigating Dementia’ in front of tutors and classmates. This included a presentation and short trailer. I was inspired by the life of my grandmother who suffered with Alzheimer’s and the dedication of my mother who cared for her. This project solidified my desire to pursue documentary as a career. I used Canva and Capcut to create the trailer.

🎞️ Project Administrator for a group project where we created a trailer for Factory Academy Youtube channel. I organised scheduling, secured interviews and filming locations. Worked effectively as part of a diverse team with varying learning styles and ideas. We successfully pitched to Factory International staff and industry stakeholders.
